	History
	Safe At Home, Intl started as a vision with a 25-year safety professional and emergency response provider. Having witnessed and responded to needless pain and suffering from injuries occurring at work and at home, the vision for a home safety organization grew into action to help people recognize and remove hazards from in and around their homes. The founder - already internationally published and author of three workplace safety books - began writing articles which became a regularly-appearing column (Safe At Home) in regional newspapers and magazines. From there, employer subscription services were developed to get the home safety message out to people everywhere. Then, a conversation took place with a friend and IT professional to discuss the idea of creating a home safety organization focused on preventing injuries rather than responding to them. The seed was planted for Safe At Home, International. From that point, the concept developed into a passion. The search was on for a professional support team of qualified people – a team of advisors and support staff committed to the home safety message.
	Today
	The Executive Team and Advisory Board are both now in place. The Advisory Board includes a nationally-recognized law firm that specializes in safety and family law, a fire marshal and life safety expert for in-home safety, an experienced family physician for family health matters, and an exclusive companion-animal veterinarian to address pet safety and human safety with pets and wildlife. Safe At Home, International is making history. As the first and only member-driven organization focused on “protecting you and yours in and from your home™" SAHI is committed to serving its members in ways that protect life and enhance quality of life.
